SIZE AND WEIGHT DISCRIMINATION Bill 200 REJECTED TODAY

I was in attendance to witness the rejection of Bill 200 at the Manitoba Legislature today. The vote was 35-16 to reject the Bill. It was extremely disappointing. However, it was heart warming to see all of the support of the community throughout the year and especially in the last few days leading up to the vote. Thank you to all of those who sent in letters of support for Bill 200 and who shared information about the Bill on social media. Thanks to Jill Andrew of Ontario for starting #SizeismSUCKS and for being such an amazing leader and advocate. The fight to end size and weight discrimination in Manitoba will continue.
